Privacy policy

Provision of translation services and job management (performance of a contract). Invoicing and legal obligations (legal obligation). Handling enquiries and quotes (pre-contractual measures). Selection of freelance translators (consent and pre-contractual measures). Platform security and access logging (legitimate interest and National Security Framework). Commercial communications only with consent.

When translating documents for public bodies or companies we act as data processors under Article 28 GDPR: we process data following the controller’s instructions, with a processing agreement, translators bound by confidentiality and certified return or destruction at the end of the service.

Job documents are kept for as long as needed to provide the service and for legal invoicing periods (5 years) or the period set by the public contract. Translator applications are kept for 24 months and then anonymised. Audit logs are kept for 2 years.

Freelance translators bound by processing and confidentiality agreements; hosting and email providers with servers in the European Union; payment providers when ordering online; public authorities where required by law. We do not make international data transfers.

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to privacidad@traducentia.com or through the rights request form in the portal. You can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

Encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access with two-step verification, antivirus on every upload, expiring download links, document access logging and backups with restore testing.
